The demonstration line for high-quality spherical titanium alloy powder used in additive manufacturing has two atomization powder furnaces (EIGA-50) and supporting argon recovery devices and post-treatment systems. The project addresses the “bottleneck” problem of additive manufacturing in aerospace, biomedical and other fields, as well as the preparation of high-quality spherical titanium powder used in powder metallurgy. It promotes the high value-added utilization of vanadium and titanium resources in the Panxi region and assists the industrial transformation and upgrading of Pangang Group.
The main electrode induction gas atomization powder making furnace (EIGA-50) designed by Avimetal for this demonstration line adopts a conical induction coil non-contact induction heating molten titanium alloy rod tip and a free high flow ultrafine powder atomization nozzle, achieving non-contact melting without crucible, pollution-free, flexible feeding weight, and meeting the needs of scientific research and mass production manufacturing; Equipped with a high recovery rate argon circulation system and an integrated post-treatment system, the innovative use of a “one driven two” argon recovery device and integrated control of the powder making furnace maximizes the efficiency of the circulation equipment. The overall technical level of the demonstration line project is industry-leading, and after reaching production capacity and effectiveness, the production capacity and economic benefits are considerable.
